2024-05-18 Update: I did some refactoring and hopefully fixed framerate dependence of enemy movement too. The source files are also available from my GitHub monorepo.

This is a fairly simple Construct 3 template that has basic "survivorslike" player movement, enemy spawning, movement and collision handling. Feel free to use it as you like, crediting is not required but appreciated. I may or may not update it later with other basic mechanics.

Controls:

  • Keyboard: WASD / arrows to move, Space to spawn enemies, F to toggle full-screen mode, R to restart.
  • Gamepad: D-pad or any analog stick to move, button A to spawn enemies (X on a PS controller), Back/View to toggle full-screen mode, Start/Menu to restart
  • Touchscreen: first touch spawns virtual joystick, drag your finger (or nose) to set an angle. A simultaneous second touch spawns enemies.
