Truck-a-Gotchi
A silly T-1 project for ToBuJam 2.5, total development time was around 8 hours (including planning and gathering assets). And it shows quite a bit :D
I made most of the game live on stream. If you're interested in this sort of thing, you can watch the VOD here:
Objective
Drive your big truck with many trailers with WASD / gamepad, pick up items and bring them to the drop-off zone in front of your creature. When a trailer is over the zone, stop accelerating to feed the item to the creature.
Careful, there are items that are bad for your creature (eg. the meat mallet and the chopping knife). Some foods are also healthier then others.
Try to keep your creature alive as long as you can by keeping health and happiness high, hunger and thirst low. Your creature's stats will drain faster with time. Avoid crashing into trees and your creature's platform.
Controls
Keyboard: A/D to turn, S/Space to break, W to accelerate, Shift to boost. While a trailer is in the zone, stop accelerating to feed the current item to the creature.
F to toggle full screen, N to restart, P to pause.
Gamepad: left analog stick / D-pad to steer, left button/trigger to break, right button/trigger to accelerate, A to boost.
